Title: Lancaster weekend in Hamilton, Ontario.
Post by: Pete1616 on July 11, 2016, 12:36:40 AM
Another of the many reasons I like to live in southern Ontario is the proximity to the Canadian warplane heritage.

The Lanc flew over my house at varying altitudes 5 times over the weekend, I'm sure the lowest was about 500 feet!

I think it costs $1000 for a short trip in it, beyond my budget. It sure is nice to hear that unmistakable roar though .

You are very lucky Pete to live so near to the Lanc, we do get an occasional flyover from aircraft on the way to airshows during the season, but very few and far between. Best regards Paul J.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster has had a successful test flight following the engine fire it suffered in May. Regards Paul J.
