Sikorsky S-39

Here is a nice Sikorsky S-39 from John's hangar.

He wrote:
Dear Lou,

It has been cold lately in North Texas. I carved the plane outside on some warm days.   I look forward to some nice spring days!

This plane was used by Martin and Osa Johnson for their late 20s and early 30 exploration of Kenya and Rhodesia. Their plane was called Spirit of Africa.
