Title: 1/48 Avro Lancaster commenced May 2003
Post by: Boomerang on May 28, 2016, 05:50:01 PM

When I worked on the Lancaster G for George at the Australian War Memorial I made two models.

One was presented to o Tim the Painter when he left the project. He did all the spray painting on George and the Beaufort.
He left the project well before the end, his work complete.

The other one was left hanging in the project office .

Until a chance meeting a few weeks ago with someone still involved with the conservation of large objects I hadn't thought
  about it.

Cheers

  Gordon

So 13 years of accumulated dust was removed and here it is.

All I have do is decide how to finish it and fix some small issues.

Great Lancaster. I photo with you holding it give us a better appreciation of the 1/48 scale.
