October was a quiet month on SMM with just over 120,000 views bringing the yearly number to 1555092. New posts rank third highest for the year at 177.
The membership submitted six new models for October. This brings the total to 52. Models completed during October are as follows:

Gordon
1/60 Republic F-84F Thunderstreak

Jim
1/50 Sopwith Pup

Lou
1/72 Handley Page Halifax

1/144 Sikorsky Sea King

1/144 Bell Kiowa

1/72 Noorduyn Norseman

Check out the entire yearly builds at http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/SMF/index.php?topic=1980.0

I encourage all members to set a goal of completing one more model before Christmas. For our new members, perhaps a profile model similar to the ones found at http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/SMF/index.php?topic=1565.0

Is my Christmas wish, is that more members will become active participants.

I have been quietly adding to my RCAF Centennial project. The Ventura is taking up 75 percent of my modelling time as tutorials are extremely time consuming.

Current on my bench:

1/32 Sopwith Camel fuselage is assembled, and cockpit completed. Guns are done and wings rough cut.
1/32 Otter no progress
1/72 Lockheed Ventura parts are sanded, and sealer has been applied. Completion is anticipated by year's end
1/72 Douglas Digby no progress
1/72 Argus no progress
1/144 Sunderland fuselage partially carved and the wing is sanded. Tail feathers are rough cut.
1/144 Chinook near completion. I await my CanMilAir decals prior to completing the paint scheme.
1/144 Consolidated Catalina no progress
