New to SMM

Hello, I build static model boats, all types.  Air Boats, Ski Boats, Houseboats.  I've been building about 8 years, wow, time flies when your having fun!  To this point I've used strictly balsa, but I'm ready to try plywood for keel and frame.  I like to add detail and have made my own engines, furniture, etc.  My reason for joining was discussion, questions and advise.  Once I've figured out the site I'll post some pics.  The boat in my profile is a recent build, of a boat I owned years ago.   
A little about myself, I'm in my 70's, retired, married, have 2 small dogs and live in Las Cruces, NM.  My hobbies, besides my boats, are reading, and drawing.  In a spare bedroom I have my work bench and tools.  That's where I create!
