  Thank you Lou and Paul.

The undercarriage struts need some work.
I still have to make up some small stuff. Control linkages etc..,

I found some info on making homemade turnbuckles etc.., I'll see what transpires when it comes to
   Final rigging.

   Cheers

Some more progress .

Decals applied. Radiator and fuel tanks added.

Extended the brass rod wing joiners.

Undercarriage soldered.

More work required on cockpit.

Thinking about turnbuckles.

All just clipped together at this stage.

Cheers.

Bit more progress although it doesn't seem like much.

Applied some graphite to the wheel tyres and coated in clear seemed to do the job as per website ( link in previous post).
Added filler caps to fuel tanks ( cotton bud stem ).
Resoldered the undercarriage. One side couldn't stand the strain.
Have made up the bits for the turnbuckles ( again from the link posted earlier). A little more agitation of the brain is required to work out the best way to do it.
Have carved a pilot bust. needs some more work.

Had to hit the wing decals with some micro sol to settle them down after a coat of satin clear.

Away next week so little will be done

  Cheers

Progress.....

Wing joiners are brass rod. Made getting the dihedral angle pretty easy.
Lower wing has since been attached to the fuselage.
Control linkages for tailplane have been done using plastic card and thin copper wire with home made turnbuckles.
The blue tape is to keep it all together.

Manufacturing the turnbuckles required for the rigging. Very therapeutic !

Nearly done

The louvers are from thick paper . Couple of coats of dope and white primer. Slit was cut and louver formed with a tool made from bamboo skewer and pushed through using a tissue folded
over to  allow for forming. The foot holds were done using the same method but cut straight from the plan. Some delicate work with a fine pin and a sharp blade was required.

Cheers
