Decided on something a bit different.
All the basic bits are done . Just the fiddly bits to do wheels, engine , linkages, rigging and a pilot.
Fuselage was shaped then cut to fit a 1/64 ply box which is the cockpit.

Looking forward to it.

Thanks Lou,
Should be a bit of fun.

Lou

Update on the "Flea"
Engine mounted. Waiting the arrival of replacement rigging thread. I can't find since the Macchi. Harrumph!
rigging attachment points from sardine tin lid cut out with aviation tin snips.
Dual tail wheel done with two halves of epoxy in a blue tack mold.
So nearly done.
Gordon
My replacement ez line has arrived so can do the rigging and she's finished.
Should be done by next weekend.
Gordon
Looking forward to it. Your project always turn out well.
Lou
Interesting model. There is a prototype Flea at the local aviation museum. I think the original owner flew it just enough to scare himself.
Fraser
Must have scared himself a bit.
There was an issue whereby if the front wing angle of attack was greater than 15 degrees. The airflow from it over the rear wing would increase . Increase the lift of the rear .
Then you enter an uncontrollable dive. They stuck one in a wind tunnel and worked it all out. The later ones a apparently safer.
Anyway she's finished. There are as usual some omissions . Some not quite rights. But if squint from 3 feet away it looks like a "Flea".

One more
Very nice indeed Gordon, excellent detailing work. Regards Paul J.
Outstanding project Gordon. The rib details as well as the rigging really make the model stand out.
Lou
Beautiful workmanship!
Looks pretty good! What is the wing span of the model? I may have to try an open cockpit model in the future with the "box" style of construction for the cockpit. Also thanks for providing the reason for the reputation the aircraft garnered.
Fraser
Thank you Paul , Lou, Fingers and Fraser.
I enjoyed making it. It would make a good umbrella on a rainy day.
An interesting machine.
Cheers
