Some progress.

Propeller made from bamboo chopstick.

The picture is a bit warts and all. The filler at the front of the cockpit is for the gun covers. On the wings its for the nav lights and landing light.

Looking good Gordon, it's surprising what you can use to make parts. Regards Paul J.

I think that's half the fun of it. Keeps the grey matter a wee bit more active.

Picture of both the D-XXI and XFT-1.

The D- XXI is slightly out of focus. :(

  Started painting the D-XXI.

On the XFT-1 the breech cover is nearly "right ".
A coat of light grey has been applied.

Some further work done.

The engine was made using one from an old "Texan"kit.
Having no Plasticine I utilised a wad of "Blue Tac" made an impression of it. Used some olive oil as a release agent and mixed up some two part epoxy.
Bit more work required. The breech covers are now deemed as Ok. Coat of Chrome yellow applied. ( didn't wait long enough- there is a finger print).
Just leaves the mass balances and radio mast  to be made .

cheers
