Also on the list for a while and started at same time as XFT-1.
I didn't check the scale until I was well into it. Works out around 1/65.
I'll decide whether to do it as Dutch or Finnish later.

Lovely little model.

Looking good Gordon, you have got a good production line going at the moment. Regards Paul J.
Seems like that. There are a few others in varying stages of preparation.

Where the D-XX1 is at. needs some finesse on the engine and cowling.
The simulated fuselage stringers disappeared under a bit of over eagerness with grey primer.
Propeller from plastic ice cream container.
Should be finished by Christmas .

Looking good Gordon! Nice rib feathering.
I like your idea of using the ice cream tub plastic for the propeller. My next model will be a 1/72 Halifax and I've been struggling with how to make the propellers. I'm nervous making a 3 blade prop out of wood at this scale but cutting them from plastic and even shaping them a little with a heat gun is a great idea.

Very nice progress.

Some progress.
Painting complete. Home made decals. Some touching up required (digital reveals all)
Needs further work on propeller and engine.
