Lou,

I did reply somewhere on the site that I was putting some models into a local Scale model show this weekend.
But can't find it.
Sooo....

I entered 6 models in the scratch built category.  There was a Scratchbuilt R/C truck and trailer built by a retired sheetmetal worker.

There was a  1/32 Nomad, Macchi 326 and a Pika ( piloted version of the Jindivick) .

Attached are a couple of pictures of what I set up.
The Nomad came 3rd, the Pika came 2nd and the Macchi came 1st. The truck and I got certificates of appreciation.

As to whether any hits on the site will occur as a result I don't know.

Cheers

Gordon

Congratulation. What materiel did the other entries use?

I'm not sure but the Nomad, Pika and Macchi "looked"like a bit of Vac form and resin.

There was a note on the Macchi saying it was a test for a forthcoming Resin kit.

the truck was made out of Sheet metal . Soldered together where needed.
The windows were blacked so that the RC gear was not noticed. Very neat work.
The scratch built was Catergory 58 . I think there was something like 60 odd categories.

There were several children that entered models as well (not in scratch built)which was good to see.

The overall standard was in my opinion quite high.

Spent my allowance on some second hand magazines and picked up several 1/72 Vac form canopies
For a few bucks.

Might have a go next year. ( thinking cap is on).

Cheers
