Title: Modeling Time
Post by: lastvautour on October 06, 2020, 08:12:28 PM
Fraser brought up the question of where we spend most of our modeling time. My simple answer was that it depended on the size of the model. This may be true, however breaking down the various segments of construction may not be that simple. For me, sanding it the most tedious part. It prepares the model for what it will look like on completion and consumes one full half of the time.

The attached photo shows a good representation of various scales in my collection. The Albacore took three hours including drawing prep.

Interesting. I find most of my time is spent thinking about how I will complete a particular step.  Usually I overthink the problem and realize the actual solution is not that difficult. I do appreciate your attention to the details necessary to capture the look and feel of the model.
