Here is Pete's Gloster G-40 and his comments.

Hi, Lou

Frank Whittles first!....I plan on carving early jets for a while.....even the German one that flew in 1939......If anyone is interested in plans, I find most in the virtual museum, enlarge to a suitable size (using a proportional scale) and Staples copier, make templates from translucent plastic, cut out and carve.

I also find it helpful to have a photo handy as many patterns don't give the detail required. If anyone is interested, I can scan and send along patterns.

I spotted this earlier and thought to myself what an attractive subject that Pete has modelled, there are some excellent early Luftwaffe jets as well that would lend themselves well to simple solid models, plus the Luft 46 projects which are just fascinating,I have a couple of recently published volumes called 'Hitlers secret projects' which illustrates things from rockets to small projected interceptors.
Well done Pete you have really captured the Gloster E28/39 well.
Barry.
