My neighbour is a dealer in all things second-hand that can fit in his van. I call him Alladin, for his garage is a treasure-filled cavern and his wife is called Jeannie. Today, he conjured from the depths of his cave this Avro 504K in the livery of the first QANTAS aircraft. It looks like a professionally made or manufactured desk-top model fashioned from... you guessed it, solid wood. Very nice.

Nice find. I always look at yards sales in hope of finding such items, but alas, I have come up empty handed.
Thank you posting.

Looks old but isn't. A little web surfing this morning and I have identified the manufacturer as eModelAirplanes based in the SE Asia. The wood is Philippine mahogany and the finish hand painted. They offer a wide range of subjects including proposed experimental airframes (Avro.730!) and Thunderbirds vehicles. Any more of this and solid models will become mainstream %~))
