Title: left with "bumps"
Post by: R.F.Bennett on September 07, 2010, 09:36:24 PM
Gentlemen.  :P

QuoteHi Ray,
See you're on line. Thought I'd say hello. And at the same time ask if you have any suggestions as to how I might rectify a problem I've got painting my Mariner. In attempting to  change a bit on the side I was compelled to sand and fill (wood filler).  But this has just caused me to continually sand and paint - always left with "bumps" that appear smooth to the eye and touch before repainting.

Suggestions?

It may be that the repaired area is absorbing moisture from the paint. Several coats of primer after your normal sealing may help.
