Title: Roland C-II Walfisch
Post by: Jim on November 01, 2018, 08:17:59 PM
Ah! Just under the wire for the 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day thread, here's one more contribution:  A 1/40th (approx) scale Roland C-II Walfisch. Funny little bit of trivia associated with this: The fuselage is carved from a piece of laminated (maple and mahogany) scrap stock left over from the neck of a five-string banjo I built a couple of years ago. You cam see where the piece came from in the attachment -- right where the neck curves in to the heel to mate with the rim. Anyway, re-use is better than recycling, right?

Here's a few photos of the Walfisch.
