A 1930s/40s Australian transport aircraft carved from basswood in 1/72nd scale.

Nicely carved. I really like the window details. How do you get such a nice crisp definition of the window with a flat bottom?

Great so far. You have the knack of doing those recessed windows I can only wish I could do.

I draw the window outlines onto the model, score the lines with an Xacto or sharp utility knife and use a small shallow gouge or a 1/8" wide chisel (that an SMM member, Oceaneer99, made from piano wire and sent to me years ago). I practiced a lot on wood blanks before trying on models.
