The bench is not very busy these days. My Twin Otter has not progressed since my last post. I have greater motivation when I have someone to play with. So anyone interested in a quicky group build before Christmas.

Lou

A single engine aircraft from the WWII ID plans section would be my suggestion.

Hi Lou,

A lot going on in my shed, but no time to make aircraft models.

I have just finished a miniature bed for my daughters Barbie doll.
My wife wants a giant moose head (hunting trophy) out of old used scaffold wood.
It's a little project she found on Pinterest.
Currently working on that.
And trying to finish my custom XBOX table.

Still have an unpainted Tempest on the shelf and lots of ideas in my head.

As per last month. Plodding along with the Beaufort and DH 5
I'd have a go at something quick "before "Christmas. ( but I may not get it finished by then).

For the "quick build" can I suggest the Skua/Roc, Defiant or the Helldiver.

  Cheers

Good choices Gordon. I will start a group build post at http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/SMF/index.php?topic=1295.0 . I have chosen
the RCAF 410 Squadron Defiant using the WWII ID Model plans from the gallery.

Ok, Lou, I'll join the playtime.....I downloaded the defiant plans from "plan 3 vues" and enlarged 165%. This will give me a model 6 !/2" long, the size I prefer working with. unfortunately my fingers lack the touch for fine work these days.

Looking at the Wings 2 Bolton Paul defiant drawings, I notice the ailerons are different than what the gallery drawings. A search of images in the www does not help mush as the photos are level shots and top/bottom pictures are rare and not very helpful. I did find other drawings that show both type of aileron.

Pete, please post updates to the group build post.

Slightly over 24 hours remaining in 2014. Anyone going to submit before year end?

About 9 hours remaining in 2014. Here is the status of my model cases. The 1/144 still has lots of space, however I cannot say the same for the 1/72 ID Model case

Does that mean more 1/144 models or a new 1/72 case, or both? . A very nice collection Lou. Happy new year to you. Regards Paul J.

I don't have funds to buy another case but I do have some tempered glass that I should be able to place in the 1/72 case for more space. Best of the new year to you too Paul.
