I printed the drawings some time ago but just started carving this afternoon. In 1/72 is fairly small. Photos to follow.

Two hours of pleasure resulted in bringing the Chipmunk to the primer stage,

The little Chipper will be a nice addition to your yellow collection!

2 hours well spent . A nice looking model.

Thank you Fraser and Gordon. These quickie models are just the thing to relieve the stress of those long projects.

Final white primer awaits curing before trainer yellow is applied.

The first coat koi primer always looks transformative. The bits all come together as an airplane!
Looks great Lou.

Roll out of the Chipmunk occurred 08 August 2022. A quick build taking just 6 days to complete. As usual, decals are home made.

A beautiful model of a classic Canadian aircraft. Well done.

Thank you Fraser. A very short project that may be my quickest yet.

Jim

Lovely piece of work! Hard to imagine how you could build such a beauty in so short a time!
And so it goes...

Thank you Jim. As you well know, some projects are easier that others. You being a biplane builder would probably not have the opportunity to make a model in 6 days.
