New project will be a yellow RCAF Norseman in 1/72 scale.
Lou
Moving along slowly. The floats are in the paint booth.
Lou
The detail of the landing gear fairings really adds character to this airplane. Too bad it was a fabric aircraft as I think there would be a lot more of them still in use.
Fraser
A few are still workhorses of the north. Quite a testament for a fabric covered aircraft. Simulating the fabric will be a challenge in this scale.
Lou
Always liked the Norseman. Rugged looks.
Gordon
I agree, it was a rugged design that lasted to this day. The model is currently in the paint shop for application of the yellow finish. Decals have been printed and coated.
Lou
Floats are done and the fuselage/wing is getting its ribbing as I forgot to do it before applying the yellow finish. No biggie, as applying the tape over gloss paint is easier that over primer.
Lou
Launch occurred 1 Oct 2022. The Norseman was a quick build and there are fewer of those remaining on my list.
Lou
Lou. The Norseman looks very very nice. The top picture against the clouds looks like a magazine shot! You have once again captured the spirit of the aircraft. Love it!
Fraser
Thank you Fraser. I love those quickies.
Lou
I concur with Fraser's comments.
Terrific model Lou.
Gordon
Thank you Gordon.
