Regarding the knives you have shown, do they not have handles ?

Some knives have a handle and some do not.
This knife is called "Kiridashi-Kogatana" in Japanese.
"Kiridashi" like the "A" part means to cut the handle and put out a knife. "Kogatana" means a knife.
As shown in the photo on the right, this knife has the same blade shape even when sharpened.

Those are interesting knives. The Canadian store Lee Valley has these knives available. They carry Japanese pull saws and higher end tools as well. The link below is for the knife . The store website is simply leevalley.com
