I updated all of the plans on the gallery to include in the description the file type and the size of the file.  For example:  (tiff format, 182 KB).  Also, all of the plans now have Ray's standard disclaimer and a bold notice to click for the original file size.

I've posted GIF version of the TIFF and PDF Maircraft airplane kit plans:

http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/Gallery/thumbnails.php?album=10

It's easier for most of us to edit, enlarge, or reduce non-PDF formats.  The original TIFF and PDF files are still posted so that you can try both and let us know which works best.  All of these plans are 300 dpi, black/white only (no gray).

The gallery doesn't handle PDF or TIFF that gracefully.  It can be done, but in general, an Administrator needs to make a thumbnail for the file.

May I suggest that each upload/group of uploads be announced in a separate post. Before long we will have to scroll down several pages before getting to the new information. Just a thought.

Garet just noticed your new logo. Tell us about it. As to mine, vautour translates to buzzard/vulture hence

You have seen many of these plans before on the old site.  I'm working through an archive disk of the old plans to get them updated here.

I have several of the US Navy ID model plan sets, and have started a category in the gallery to store them as I scan them in.  For starters, you can see models B-1 through B-3, and I have added two of the A-series plans.

The album (only two so far) is at:

http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/Gallery/index.php?cat=13

The images are 300 dpi Gif format, black/white image.  Some of the pattern sheets (such as B-2, the Martin PBM-1) are quite large, 11x17 inch sheets.  The image is huge, but the file is only 247 kb.  You will probably need to download the full-scale image to your local machine to view it properly.

Eagle Model plans have been updated.  Marshall sent in some scans and images of the parts.  This reminded me that I already had PDF versions of the plans from my own collection, so I posted those as well.  Actually, I think Ray has the P-47 now, but I might be mistaken.
