The project will continue as a new build although there will be much similarities between the two. This will also be painted in RAF Coastal Command colours as I find those most pleasing.

A poor attempt at joining the nacelles to the wing required much wood filler.
Lou
My previous post should have read a poor attempt at using Ken N's approach. I had hope to be able to duplicate his talent but alas my skill failed me.
Lou
Mating of the major components. The turret is a bit high!! Pins and wooden pegs are currently holding things together.
Lou
Looks good Lou.
It is good feeling to get to the "pinned and taped" together stage.
Gordon
Thank you Gordon and yes it feel good to see this stage.
Lou
Looking good Lou.
I'm not sure the nacelles on my Halifax fit any better than yours. Yours seem to have turned out well. I'll be adding some wood filler to mine once I get back to work on the wings.

Thanks Ken. You seem to have a better skill with the cutting.

Note the change in tittle to Mk III/V which was an RCAF aircraft. Details at http://www.rwrwalker.ca/RCAF_551_600_detailed.htm
