Another one from the bits box. Started cutting on 24/1. Now at the stage of finishing.
Basswood fuselage and tailplane. Balsa wing.
Plan is to finish it off in Cream with red trim.
Straight from a plan I found on the web . Scale works out at about 1/53 ish.

Excellent build Gordon.

I enjoy your progress reports very much Gordon.
Lou
Very nice, Gordon!
Looks like a large model (what's the model's wingspan?).
Jorrit
Wingspan is 12 1/2 inches.

Painting has started. Colours will be Cream with red trin. Used Humbrol cream. Have put a thin wash of white over the fabric
covered areas and have put in the ribs with Vallajo "ice white" very light cream colour. With the exception of the ailerons
the top surfaces and rudder have been done. Will leave the bottom of the wing till later.

Look forward to your pictures.

A quick pic.
Thank you Gordon.

Red added to wings. Rudder balance added.
Pic to follow
Red added to wings and pic includes homemade decals.
Completed . Clours are for the RAF Gliding Club . Berlin 1945.
Was contemplateing the idea that it would fly with a bit of tweaking but thought better of it.
Wonderful workmanship on your Goppingen Go 3 Minimoa. This must be your shortest project. Congratulation on a beautiful model.
Lou
The low front quarter view in the gallery is superb. I will use that one for the annual poster.
Lou
Thanks Lou.
I think the Skua/Roc beat it by a week or so. It's good occasionally to do something with a quick turnaround.
Unfortunately work and other commitments eat into available time.

There may be a couple more before the end of the year. My son picked up a copy of Martin Simons "Vintage Gliding"
Has lots of scale drawings . The next one may be a Fauvel AV 361.

Gordon
You do pick unusual subjects. I found this site where he made a large flying model.

I like the different. Long ago when I was " bit " younger I was into Thermal RC soaring. I had built a couple of BIG thermal soarers but I
Liked scale and vintage gliders. Somewhere at home I have a 120inch wingspan RC Minimoa plan. ( more than likely never build it)
So back to the Fauvel. I might as well do both the AV 36 and AV361. Using the awesome power of the internet there are a lot
Really good colour schemes.
