I have gotten the vehicle bug and have devoted some time to making a truck. It is not a solid, but still made completely out of wood.

Lou.
Good idea to try something different.

Next challenge would be tread on the tyres.

Looks good so far.

Threads will be my next project.

Moving along.
The frame is glued and the cab is partially assembled. Wheels are done and everything needs some final sanding. I will a clear coat once done.
The license plate is a cut and paste affair I did in MS Word.

Done! Roll out 28 Sep 23. Not perfect but a fun project.

Looks good, Lou.  I have a book of projects just like this for early cars/trucks and have always wanted to give it a try.  Looks like fun.

Thank you Jim and Ken. It was fun putting it together. I have since made fuel tanks and will be swapping out the rear wheels using the same as the front but dual instead.

Excellent result Lou.

Well Done on the license plate.

Thank you Gordon. There used to be a program for making Canadian or American license plates but it is no longer being updated so the old cut-and-paste method had to be used.

The homemade wheels are replaced with some given to me by my neighbour, and the fuel tanks and cargo has been added.

Nice, it's good to do something completely different. Great that your neighbor got involved.
