This will cover everything else I do to keep me busy when I am not up to carving. Since I post my solids to plastic groups I will post my plastics here. Should this offend anyone, I will stop doing so.
I for one look forward to more .
Cheers
Gordon
The hangar dioramas are so typical of a maintenance facility! Love the GSE.
Fraser
Every hangar I worked in was always cluttered with every inch being taken up by some GSE piece. Over the years I have had several hangars in different stages of construction. I have a tutorial at http://smm.solidmodelmemories.net/SMF/index.php?topic=933.0 I should follow my instruction on making my next one as that one was pretty good.

Fraser
The dioramas are just as much fun as making the models.
My entire 1/32 collection is pictures here. I have another Spitfire V, an F-105G and a J7 still in the box.

Lou, I love looking at the models as you display them. It really puts me there; all the varied smells and sounds that a busy hangar has are brought back to life! I thing someone may be on report after tipping over that tripod jack, though 😜.
Fraser
Must have been a civilian in my hangar. The jack is upright in the last batch of photos that will be posted in due time.

Wonderful models. B-17 paint scheme is quite attractive.
Fraser
Very nice Lou, was the Buccaneer kit the Airfix one, as the fuse was known to be a bit of a challenge to put together, mine was, had to do it in stages. I too like the scheme on the B-17. Regards Paul J.
The Buccaneer is the Airfix kit. I don't recall any major problems. I have slowed plastic model construction in the last few years.

Box Scale Collection comprises of the Aurora CF-105 Arrow at 1/80 scale and the CF-100 Canuck at 1/69 scale. It is my intensions to metallize the CF-100 and photos will follow in due time.
Lou
PS In the early years of plastics models it was common to make models to fit a certain size box, hence box scale.
Box scale...
Now it makes sense.

Latest activities on the plastic scene. I sold 166 models in four months and have another 6 spoken for but not paid. I don't counted them sold until I get hard cash/e-transfer for them. I am keeping 60 odd models for my remaining plastic building career. At the speed of making kits, that should last me 30 years.
Lou
Newly completed 1/48 Academy/Fujimi 1/48(1/50) Dassault Mirage IIIR prototype #2. Hand brushed Tamiya flat aluminum with spares box and home made markings.

Just received a business card from CanMilAir with this on the back. Just had to cut it out and then place it in a place of honour in front of Uncle Alphonse's 2000 D Day visit to Juno Beach.

With having small kids, and living in some tighter space, and a tricky family situation, I pretty much gave up 99% of my model-making and woodworking for the last 5-6 years, but I recently started building scale models out of Lego with the kids...

Nice collection Ryan. My model building will also come trickle when we move to a senior's complex. I am planning on boxing and storing my collection at some point with views to donate them to a local aviation museum.

If anyone else here is on Instagram, it'd be nice to know. It'd be useful to use a hashtag, too, so we can follow and share stuff.
I have no idea if hashtags would work with this site. Garet would be the man to ask.

Laying laminate floor in kitchen and a bit of time for fun.
Lou
Sorry, it's not a solid.
Floor is done, two days away from my modelling. I can feel the withdrawal symptoms coming on.
Lou
Outstanding work on the flooring Lou. That's hard on the knees but it looks like you're having fun too. It is said that you are never more than three feet away from a spider and Lou is never more than three feet from a model airplane...... ;D

Top quality job. Well Done Lou.
Looks like the works supervisor approves.

My bones are still hurting. Thanks for the moral support.

An Aurora Canada Inc CF-100 Canuck circa 1960. This has been lingering on a shelf for too many years even decades. I sanded it down with 330-grit paper and painted it with Rustoleum Metallic Silver. The CF-105 Arrow was given the same treatment a few years ago.
Lou
PS. Photographing silver is as or harder than the application.
