Been wanting to do this one for a long time, but it took quite a while to accumulate the necessary graphic elements.
It's the iconic Albatros-built Fokker D-VII flown by either Gefreiter Wilhelm Scheutzel or Unteroffizier Alfred Bader, depending on which which source you ascribe. Both pilots flew with Jasta 65 in 1918, and each allegedly achieved at least one victory in the late-model Fokker decorated with squadron artists' interpretations of the Brothers Grimm "The Seven Swabians" fairy tale. There are photos of the plane and its unfortunately vaguely identified pilot to be found on numerous websites and in the "Windsock Datafile" Fokker D-VII Anthology publication. Note how the port and starboard images were likely painted by two different artists. Must have cost the pilot a pretty penny in recompense at the Jasta's wet canteen!

Standard construction in about 1:60 scale, with some aftermarket decals, scanned, re-sized and printed on my laserjet printer. Fine mesh brass screen used for radiator grille. Carved pilot figure, etc.  Hope you enjoy...

An excellent model Jim. Well done on the choice of colour scheme.
