Sorry for being a few days late. I picked up my new Sonata and forgot about everything else. So let us move on. The gallery is gathering some impressive number of views as we continue to climb beyond the 1.5 million mark.

The Forum shows an increase of new post over July 2012 and total number of post passing the 10K mark which is a good sign. We have also surpassed the 2 million view mark as well so good numbers all around. July and August are traditionally slow months due to fine weather and big "honey to do lists". Let us make an effort to visit and comment this August.

I guess that all this does is show that I'm still alive. :D
At the painting stage of my two Lockheed 10s and the L14.
Painting will have to wait. Still trying to move - many, many, books - after living in the same apartment for thirty years.
Cliff.
Greetings All,
Managed to get a small amount of work done on the Beaufort. Cockpit, Nose and Turret. I'll stick some pics up on my board.
Time has been a bit tight lately with work and travel to and from home taking up most of it.
What was left has been devoted to a bit of physical training as I'm going to "walk" the Kokoda Track with my daughter.
Basically it runs from Port Moresby ( New Guinea) to the village of Kokoda . It's 60 Kilometres as the crow flies but 96 on the ground.

All being well I should be having my 60th birthday 2 days march from Kokoda Village.
Cheers
Gordon
Happy 60th Birthday Gordon. I hope your "walk" turns out well. For a youngster like yourself it should not pose much of a problem. Let us know how things worked out.
Lou
Good Luck on that Walk, Gordon. Don't delay while you're still young. I've wanted to walk the Camino de Santiago - which is about 700 km from just inside France to Santiago de Compostelo - for many years now. But alas now I'm too old (81) and primarily for the last two years arthritic to boot. So don't delay for any reason.
Cliff.
Thanks Lou and Cliff.
Will update when I get back. Enjoy your vacation Lou .
Cheers
Gordon
Well the good news is that I have ordered my 12x8 shed for delivery in the next 21 days, meanwhile I have prepared a flat base for it and currently in the process of dismantling my old fire station workshop, its a massive task and already I have filled a monster skip with rubbish ! lots of things have had to go including several thousand aviation books that have found new homes, books with plans in naturally go into my library,I have had to be quite brutal as to what to keep as there is just not enough room now to store things and I have to be practical, solid models will continue as soon as I have set up my workbench and installed my tools and equipment,at the moment I am shuttling boxes of bits back here and storing them into Keter outside storage units which are cheap and cheerful and do the job,put 'Keter' into Google and you will see what these are.
The fire station served its purpose with the rebuild of the Tawney Owl G-APWU which will be moving on also soon to pastures new,the station has become very damp in recent months with standing water due to flash flooding and an invasion of mice, dead mice were found in boxes and other places having eaten poison and met their timely end, half of my balsa stock was wrecked because it had soaked up the water and had to be thrown away, probably about £2,000 worth of balsa purchased over the years rendered useless,my offcuts boxes I decided had seen better days and these fed a fire for a few days.
Its time to move onwards and upwards now and to make a new life for myself and put things behind me,nothing will change the past and this fresh modelling start will mean a new era for me,wonder what my first new solid model subject will be ? really looking forward to sharpening up the knives and chisels and getting down to business again !
Barry aka Balsabasher.
Good luck with all the moving, Barry. You've had some difficult decisions to make when deciding what to keep and what to toss. As I'm also in the process of moving I can appreciate your concerns. But I must marvel at your very calm attitude to it all.
Cliff.
