Nice looking craft. Tell us how to built and finished the Gloster VI. I like the look of that finish.
Lou
Very nice, Can't wait to see the finished beast and what a brave choice for a finish. I would never attempt a metallic gold paint on a whole model. :P
Thanks for the pic edit Lou. . . :P
All Balsa . Float struts are from spruce. From scaled up Aeromodeller plan. Working on a jig to give me another pair of hands to rig the floats. Sanded fine and a couple of coats of primer. The gold finish is for the 1929 colour scheme. It was "Old Gold" overall. However the 30/31 scheme is growing on me. Cambridge Blue fuselage/Fin, Old gold wings and stabiliser with the tops of the floats white.
Did I do something wrong with the picture? I note the comment of "picture edit"
Cheers
Gordon
Gordon, I added the picture to your post.

Mmmmm... this is very early in the piece. I was probably still learning how it all worked.
Definitely finished and currently resides in a display cabinet at my son's place.
Several pictures in Gallery dated Dec 11 2009.
Cheers

I somehow missed seeing my previous post.

In a word, "Wow!"
That's a work of art!
Thank You Jim.
Gordon
That is a beautiful work of art. It looks like a presentation model you would see on an executive desk.
Very well done.
Fraser
Thank you Fraser.
