Started this sometime back as a distraction from two wings, radial engines and rigging.
Scrap balsa fuselage and wings. Basswood tailplane and pylons. Tanks are pine dowel turned up in a drill.
Tank fins are .8mm ply. Except for the tanks pretty much all from them scrap box.
Tanks and wing pylons are pinned but not attached at this stage.
Should just scrape in for 1st Gen Jets.

Very promising project Gordon. I love the way you do intakes.
Lou
Thank you Lou.
Just have to decide on which colour scheme to use.
Leaning towards a Belgian Air Force scheme.
Gordon
The F-84F has many colourful schemes. I look forward to the progress shots. Will you be doing a clear canopy?
Lou
At this stage I think I will keep it relatively simple.
Bit of quality control going on at the moment cleaning up the surface.
Cheers
Gordon
That is part of the fun, I think, by turning bits of scrap into models. It is looking like a nice project.
Fraser
Thank you Fraser.
Should turn it round pretty quickly.
Gordon
Staring to apply some colour.
Working on some decals.
Gordon
Putting some colour on. Working on decals.

Ooops !
Ooop? Looks fantastic Gordon.
Lou
Thank you Lou.
The ooop was for not pushing the attachment button.
Bit of quality control going on now.
Gordon
A bit further down the road.
A bit of clean up required.
About to embark on the decals.
The tanks are not attached as yet.

Gordon

Picture to follow.
Gordon
Nearly done.
Excellent F86F. It will be an awesome addition to your early jet collection.
Lou
Lou made an earlier observation about the aircraft type had a variety of colourful paint schemes. I agree that this is a nicely done model with plenty of color!. Well done Gordon.
Regards,
Fraser
How is your Thunderstreak coming along?
Lou
Slowly Lou.
Have applied some dive brake decals and one air brake decal. Need to settle them down a bit better.
Fin flashes applied but will have to do another one.
Shouldn't be too long.
Cheers
Gordon
Thank you for the update, Gordon.
Lou
Aye tis finished.
Looks like an F-84F.

Gordon
One more.
As I said before, magnificent workmanship on your F-84F. You made an excellent choice of colour scheme.
Lou
Thank you Lou.
Enjoyed the build and learnt a few things on the way.

Gordon
Well done model. The paint is definitely going to stand out on the flight line!

There were several painted up in variations of this for 1965.

Gordon
Hiow do you display your magnificent collection?
Lou
Wow! That is one eye-popping paint job! Worthy of the Glying Circus!
Lou
On a repurposed bookcase. Might need some more room.
Jim.
There were some more but I liked this one. They painted up a few aircraft for their 1965 display season.
