Started this as the Vindicator is "nearly" finished.
Will finish it as A77-701 which at a later stage in its life was all white.

Very promising start. Mine is 1/144. Will you be doing the undercarriage as well.
Lou
Yours looks great. I haven't yet thought about the U/c . I'll leave that for a bit further down the track.

Fuselage is primed . Wing requires some more work. Nacelles require a little refinement in length and shape.
Pictures to follow .
Gordon
Final shape of nacelles done. The filler on the wing is to overcome some over zealousness with the knife on my part.

That is why I go through so much putty. I started adding slivers of wood shaped to the area affected for better bonding.
Lou
Where the Meteor is at . All that is glued are the engines and the tailplane.
Working on the nose as it had an FR9 nose with 3 camera apertures . The front one was painted over.
Need to do the top and bottom bulges for the U/c.
Decals printed.
Pushing steadily onwards.
Gordon
Beautiful work to date.
Lou
Thank You Lou.
Plodding onwards.

Undercarriage fairings under the wings have been added. Still have to do the upper ones. More work needed on the sideways camera apertures in the nose.

Gordon
Wing tanks done. Ventral tank done. Still have to do the sideways looking apertures .
Bit more cleaning up and I can stick the wing on.
Progressing slowly

Coming on nicely Gordon, regards Paul J.
Thank you Paul.
Enjoying it.
Gordon
Bit of quality control on wing tanks required.
The side camera apertures require more work
Then its pretty much put it together.

Starting to finish the Meteor off .
The red bit on the nose is some sort of fairing . Used polyfilla , PVA and red acrylic paint mix.

Great Meteor. What is remaining to do?
Lou
I have to redo a couple of decals . There is a small bull and an Air Commodore pennant on each side of the nose.
I've painted the canopy and the black anti glare panel.
Not long now.
Gordon
A coat of gloss and its finished.

Gordon
Ooops !
Excellent Gordon. Another fantastic build.
Lou
Nice looking model Gordon, well done, regards Paul J.
Thank you Paul and Lou.
Enjoyed it and learnt something on the way.

How did you mate the engines to the wing?
Lou
From memory and looking at the pictures I marked out the centre lines of the wing on the inner and outer sides . Marked the wing section.
"Roughly" cut out and fitted and fine tuned ( filing) to the wing. Bit of wiggle room to check alignment and stuck . Again from memory very little filler needed. Your method of cutting out the tops would be a bit quicker.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Gordon
Thank you Gordon. My wood has been selected and rough cut. I don't know hoe quickly I will get to it.
