Title: Polyurethane question
Post by: FlyingS on November 12, 2017, 11:07:49 PM
Does anyone have experience with using water base polyurethane on top of regular polyurethane? I used spray polyurethane (regular) on my Bearcat. The spray poly didn't cover the paper decals as well as when I brushed on water base poly. So I was thinking of going over the the whole plane with the water base poly to cover the decals better.

I like the water based poly, goes on smooth, easy clean up, no noxious odours.....but....I found that when I used my red cedar it turned the wood pink. so, out to the garage to spray a few coats did the trick for cedar. Otherwise I used water based poly for most other jobs.
