Putty spatulas

At the top is a dental spatula that I bought at a hardware store. It is stainless steel, made in Pakistan, and has worked out fairly well. At the bottom are my attempts at making my own version from hammered nails. I plan to mount the nails into a small dowel or pencil-diameter piece of bamboo.
